Midwest Art and Rural Midwest Landscape Photography
Nature – Abandoned – Wildlife – Landscape – Midwest Art

The Midwest is a land of extremes. From Iowa’s cornfields to Minnesota’s lakes and woods, this area is home to some of the most diverse landscapes in the country. It’s no wonder that the Midwest is one of the most sought-after photography locations. After all, we don’t call it “God’s Country” for no reason. This is my collection of midwest art and photography.

Creating a photograph in the Midwest isn’t as simple as it may seem. The changing seasons, severe weather, and other unpredictable events can easily throw a photographer off their game. Luckily, the Midwest has some of the most beautiful landscapes to work with.

Browse through my unique landscape photography art prints from around the Midwest and let them take you on a country road trip. Prints spanning various seasons, month of the year, and elements of nature, each print is a work of art in its own right. Whether you’re looking for a rustic feel or something more abstract or elegant, for certain there is a print for everyone or any decor.

About Chris’ Midwest Art

Chris Olson’s Midwest Art and Rural Midwest Landscape Photography consists of rare and/or occasional acts of nature, severe weather, lost and forgotten abandoned farmsteads and homes of yesteryear, the changing of the seasons, and other rare weather phenomena and events. Other areas of interest include the diverse landscapes of the midwest and beyond.

Chris understands that rural culture is fading and many of the buildings that were built on that culture are vanishing as well. This drives Chris to have a strong interest in preserving the history and culture of the forgotten, neglected or abandoned rural architecture and homesteads through his photography. Many of the images found here of midwest art landscapes can be compared to the scenes of not one of the most famous landscape photographers, but one of the most famous Midwest Art landscape painters, the late Terry Redlin.
